But slogging away quetly are scores of creatives tapping into the muse and in the face of development and corporatisation the south coast is really churning out some national winners this month. The Escalators won Jazz Musicians of the year at the Australian Independent Music Awards, and Sarah Cowan and sacred cow won the national You Can Change The World With Your song comp. See the articles herein. And here it comes again ... 'the season', in all its assorted horror and glory! Already the decorations are going up and the incomprehensible, unsingable carols are squeezing out through the tinny mall speakers.
