Gas & wood-fired stoneware ceramics, jewellery and paintings on canvas. James Simms has been running the Congo Crafts Gallery since 1980. The gallery is located in Congo, just south of Moruya. Simms makes stoneware ceramics with a glazes ranging from copper red to subtle matt finishes. He uses two kilns, one gas-fired and the other wood-fired. This year marks his 31st annual exhibition. His mark is an impressed 'JS' in several different versions.
