Solar Bulk-Buy events planned

The Southcoast Health and Sustainability Alliance (SHASA) is excited to announce they have appointed an installer for the 2016 Community Solar Bulk Buy. The winning installer is The Smart Energy Network, a cooperative of local installers, coordinated by Dan and Beth McDonald based in Braidwood.

The Smart Energy Network came in with the best price: based on a 5KW system they were 36 % cheaper than the average tender and 12% cheaper than the national average. They are offering Australian made batteries and panels. The offer also includes hybrid inverters ensuring that all systems will be future proofed for battery installations. The Smart Energy Network will begin contacting people who have signed up and rolling out installations very soon.

The Eurobodalla Deputy Mayor Anthony Mayne is very excited about this project, ‘the project shows how a community group can create real change in the local area; by saving people money, increasing renewable energy, growing local jobs and developing infrastructure.’

SHASA are having a number of events in the local area to introduce the installation team and will have the panels, inverters and batteries on display for inspection.

The dates and locations are as follows:

Tuesday 15 November, 6.30 for 7pm - Batemans Bay Soldiers’ Club

Wednesday 16 November, 6.30 for 7pm - Narooma Golf Club

Thursday 17 November, 6.30 for 7pm - Moruya Anglican Hall

Thursday 24 November, 6.30 for 7pm - Braidwood National Theatre

SHASA is thrilled to announce that The Smart Energy Network have teamed up with ENOVA, the first community owned renewable energy retailer. This means that they can offer the best feed in tariff on the market for any customer wanting to sell electricity back to the grid!

SHASA is keeping the bulk buy open for new registrations to ensure anyone who has not yet signed up still has the opportunity to benefit from low cost, good quality, Australian made panels installed by a local installer.
