At the village meeting with Andrew Constance on Monday Nov 21st the issue of Coila Lake came up in regards to the fishing of the lake and also the damage to the lake access due to the launching of boat trailers and by 4WDs. John Tilbrook, Vice president of the Tuross Head Progress Assoc contacted Council to see if anything could be done. By Friday Council had attended the site, rearranged the sand, exposed the once gravel base that had been laid and then refreshed the area with new gravel. John, through the THPA, will be pushing on to see the area improved with more parking as presently, with so many boats being launched from this area, there is little space for parking which sees the boat trailers left parked just by the water, side by side, prohibiting other users from launching as well.
