Dalmeny Narooma Bushwalking News - Nov 2016

Dalmeny Narooma Bushwalking News - Nov 2016

On Thursday 24 November, the Dalmeny Narooma Bushwalkers walked the boardwalk around Tuross Head enjoying the beautiful views of the Tuross River and Tuross Lake. The sandy beaches south to Potato Point, and north to Bingie Bingie Point and walking beside Coila Lake where we had morning tea made this a great walk. The Tuross Head boardwalk is very good as the information signs in all the various areas describe the history of that area. We allowed time to read the signs and take plenty of photos. Pat Reid was thanked for organising this beautiful walk around Tuross Head. Our Christmas party was on Saturday 26 November and over 30 members enjoyed themselves and talked of the upcoming walks and trips away in the new year. Our President Jan Thomas was presented with her life membership badge by life member, Michael Mc Donagh. Jan Thomas together with Maggie Finch was thanked by all the members for doing the hall decorating and organising this Christmas party. This year our bushwalks have finished and our next official bushwalks start with early morning walks in February 2017 and the main bushwalking programme starts in March 2017. Our trips away are in the programme for March 2017 and our Smiggin Holes is November 6 to November 12 2017.
