SAFETY TO BE IMPROVED AT TWO EDEN BRIDGES Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions for essential maintenance work to be carried out on two Princes Highway bridges at Eden from this week. Work will be carried out to improve motorists’ safety and reduce ongoing maintenance costs on the Freshwater Creek Bridge in Eden and also on the Nullica River bridge south west of Eden. Improvements to the Nullica River bridge will be carried out between 7am and 5pm from Wednesday 7 December to Friday 9 December and involves repairs to the concrete road surface and cleaning railings. Work on the Freshwater Creek bridge will take place between 9am and 2.30pm on Friday 9 December and involves repairs to the bridge railings. For the safety of workers and motorists, a single lane closure with traffic control and a reduced 40 km/h speed limit will be in place during work hours at both bridges.
