TUROSS HEAD RURAL FIRE BRIGADE NEWS
In recent days, the streets of Tuross have witnessed the annual turnout of decorated houses and front lawns because, yes, you guessed it, CHRISTMAS IS ALMOST HERE!! Another year is almost done as we scramble to get done around the house those jobs we’ve promised ourselves we’d get done before the Christmas visitors arrive.
And at the fire shed in Drake Street on top of the hill, the brigade will be saddling up the fire trucks for the Santa Run on Christmas Eve. Leaving the reindeer and sleigh until later in the night, Santa gets a ride on the Tuross fire truck to deliver gifts to children young and old throughout Tuross.
Santa will be loading his fire truck on Friday 23rd December at the fire shed in Drake Street (next to the water tanks and radio tower at the top of the hill). Gifts for delivery will be received between 2pm and 6pm (with a $2 donation) at the fire shed. Please wrap your gift securely and label clearly with house number, street name and recipient’s name so that Santa doesn’t get confused.
Santa will be out and about on Christmas Eve between 2:00 and 5:00pm (Saturday 24th). You will get an idea of where he is by listening for the fire sirens.
The Santa Run is a great opportunity for the Brigade to say thanks to the community we serve. From all at the Tuross Brigade, have a safe and happy Christmas and best wishes for a fulfilling year to follow.
