Draft Community Protection Plans South Durras Final draft maps for the South Durras community protection plan have been completed. The Eurobodalla BFMC with the Durras Association and Friends of Durras has consulted widely with the community during 2016 in order to develop this plan. Increasing the knowledge of residents and local businesses about the threat posed by bush fire improves community and fire fighter preparedness. The more prepared a community, the better it can respond to and recover from bush fire. A community protection plan is a set of maps that provides easy-to-understand information, relevant and specific to the community, and focuses on local planning that tailors bush fire safety options to the location, and the needs of the community. A community protection plan consists of three maps; the bush fire survival map highlights information necessary for your survival, the bush fire preparation map identifies agreed and proposed bush fire threat and mitigation works to protect the community, and the operational brigade maps shows the location of assets and hazards for fire fighters to allow informed decisions about responding to bush fires in the community. Final Draft maps are available via this OFFICIAL link or via the links below.
