Santa brings plenty of extra free parking to Batemans Bay


Santa brings plenty of extra free parking to Batemans Bay Shoppers and visitors to the seaside town of Batemans Bay will find plenty of additional parking spaces this year and Eurobodalla Mayor Liz Innes is keen to let everyone know that Batemans Bay is ready to welcome the summer influx of visitors with more parking options available throughout the town. “This week Council has removed pay parking from the Clyde Street and Perry Street car parks inBatemans Bay and a generous three-hour parking limit will apply instead,” said Clr Innes Council purchased the former Batemans Bay Bowling Club site on the western side of the Princes Highway earlier this year and the surrounding car parking areas are all open and offeringun restricted parking through the summer holidays. The redevelopment at Bridge Plaza off North Street includes 80 new car parking spaces and work around Orient Street and Camp Street has included extra parking spaces. “The area around North Street between Perry and Orient Streets and the southern end of Clyde Street has been upgraded and in addition to more parking, visitors coming to Batemans Bay to shop and eat out will be enjoying a more attractive space with better footpaths and access around Batemans Bay. “Summer is a great time to be in Batemans Bay and everyone is looking forward to welcoming families, friends and holiday makers,” said Clr Innes.
