Council have confirmed that they will be removing the fig tree in the park that dropped a branch on Tuesday causing injury. The tree has been formally inspected and it has now been agreed by Council parks staff that the tree needs to be removed. While locals are lamenting in the loss of the tree it is accepted that there are several new trees in the park planted to provide shade.
