Mogo planning controls review

Eurobodalla Council is inviting the community to tell them of your vision for Mogo

To inform the Council’s Development Control Plan review, Council is asking the community about its vision for Mogo. You can tell Council your vision for Mogo by: 1) attending the community information session Date: Thursday 9 February 2017 Time: 5.30pm-6.30pm Venue: Boomerang Meeting Place, 2 Church Street, Mogo The community meeting will include short presentations from Council, time for questions and answers and small group discussions about Mogo’s future desired character, opportunities and planning controls. 2) Emailing council@esc.nsw.gov.au If you need further information, please call Angie Radford, Strategic Planning Officer (Environment) on 02 4474 1202. Your feedback will be considered when reviewing planning and development controls that apply to Mogo so that future development meets the community’s expectations. Council have set up an information page with a background to the process of reviewing the planning and development control plans You can find the link to the page here Some of the questions they would like you to consider are:

  1. What do you most appreciate about Mogo? Tell us about the built and natural features you think make it special or unique. There could be things you think should be protected. You can tell us about what gives the area character and give us examples of where you see this character.

  2. What do you think could be improved in Mogo? Tell us about what you see as opportunities to improve. Perhaps you have seen improvements in other places that you would like to also see in Mogo. Places can change over time, for example building designs change, new houses might be built on vacant land or the materials people use to build might change.

  3. What do you want Mogo to look like in the future? Tell us if you think new buildings, or alterations, should look a specific way to fit in with Mogo. For example, are there building styles, materials used and set-backs you would prefer to see? Give us examples of development that you think fits in with your vision for the area.

NOTE: Comments were TRIALED - in the end it failed as humans will be humans and it turned into a pile of merde; only contributed to by just a handful who did little to add to the conversation of the issue at hand. Anyone who would like to contribute an opinion are encouraged to send in a Letter to the Editor where it might be considered for publication
