Tuross Head men's golf Sat Feb 11th


The Scoty 18 hole stableford event last Saturday was won by local veteran golfer Michael Allen with a very creditable score of 41 points.

Reginald Apps filled second placing with a close 40 points on a countback from Russ Elliott and Adam Husband.

Other voucher winners were Dave Bray with 39 points and Colin Houghton with 38 points filled the minor spots.

Colin Houghton and Rob Josifovski had the satisfaction of both returning eagles on the 11th and 3rd hole respectively.

Nearest the pin winners were A Grade players: Tony Russell on the 6th with 3.89 m. and Dave Bray was closest on the 7th with 7.09 m.

B grade: Frank Pomfret was the best on the 4th hole with 7.39 m.

Reg Apps was nearest on the 6th with 2.60 m and John Phyland won the 7th hole with 7.50 m.

C grade: Steve Johnston was awarded the 4th hole with 5.91 m.

Michael Allen won the 6th with 5..68 m and Peter Mostyn was the best on the 7th hole with 4.02 m.

The coming Saturday competition at Tuross Head is a single par event.

Thursday's 18 hole medley stableford competition was won by Peter Mostyn with 39 points ahead of Ian Wark, Colin Houghton and Ian McManus who all finished with a close 38 points.
