Eurobodalla pools management up for tender

Eurobodalla Shire Council is seeking tenders for the management of the Batemans Bay, Moruya and Narooma swimming pools.

Council’s Director of Community, Arts and Recreation Kathy Arthur said the existing management contract for the pools, currently held by the YMCA, was nearing the end of its term.

“Council is advertising for tenders for the management of the three Eurobodalla pools as a group for the next six years,” she said.

“The tender will test the market and allow us to get a good value contract that meets the needs of the community.

“We’re looking for prospective operators to manage the day-to-day operations and continue our core aqua aerobics, learn-to-swim classes, school programs and squad training, but we also want to see the non-sport and non-competitive activities expanded. For example, we see there is opportunity to develop group fitness programs and promote the pool as a great venue for events.”

Tenders close 5 April 2017.

For further information about the pools contract please contact Council’s Kim Bush on 4474 1000. Media Release
