"With a number of regular lady golfers away playing competition golf at Bermagui, a field of 50 starters teed off under sunny skies for this morning's Aggregate Stroke - Secret Partners event. Results for the day were as follows: 1st: The team of Neal Watson and David Williams with a combined nett score of 68, well clear of the rest of the field. 2nd: Herb Muriwai and Ian Wratten on 74 after a three way count back. 3rd: Barry Hoban and Steve Johnston, also on 74. Ball or Chocolate: Graham Moore and Patrick Sager on 74, Tony Crook and Paul Green together with Paul Rummery and Henry Anderson on 75, Steve Swanbury and Michael Kermode on 77, and finally Greg Smith and Tim Starr on 78. The Bradman's award was taken out by Solveig Olsson teamed with Vets Captain Ian Miller. Nearest the Pins: 4th: Ken Brown. 6th: Frank Pomfret. Ladies 7th: Jeanette Miller. Men's 7th: Greg Smith. This week's Accuracy award on the 5th hole was taken out by Terry Lunn with a fine drive alongside the string line. Next week's game is a 2 Person Ambrose event playing for the Phyllis Starr "Tin Cup". The game will be followed by the quarterly Gala Day light lunch. Registration is from 7.45am in the downstairs sports bar area with a shotgun start at 8.30am. Players are reminded that even with daylight saving finishing next weekend, registration and start times remain unchanged until the first game in June.”
