Over the last week five athletes from the Batemans Bay LIMITLESS TRACK TEAM travelled to Sydney for the Australian Junior Championships. To be able to compete in this meet is an achievement in itself as the championships have qualifying times which are set high.
Our Batemans Bay team members all had a very successful meet which completed a very strong year for the squad.
Our Australian Junior Championships results are:
Rumer Williams - 5th in the 3km Steeple in a 9 sec personal best ,she is also the NSW Champion for this event .
Asha Martin - 9th in the 1500m and 12th in the 3km she was just 1 sec from her personal best Asha was 3rd in the 1500 at the NSW Championships and 2nd in the 3km.
Byron Van-dyk - 5th in the 800m final in a personal best and 6th in the 400m final. He was second at the NSW championships in these two events. Over the last few months he has did a personal best every time he raced the 800m.
Jaylah Hancock–Cameron - 2nd in the 800m Final and 2nd in the 1500 in a personal best. She also is the NSW state champion for the 800m and 1500m .Both races were very close finishes and very exciting.

They are a very hard working squad who do not have an Athletic track to train on. To have FOUR in the top FIVE in Australia and all in the top 9 is an amazing achievement in just over 1 year of training.
Altogether they have won over the last season 20 NSW State medals and 4 National Medals between the 5 of them.
I am a very proud coach. The many trips to Sydney this year to compete at the highest levels has taught them a lot over the year.
