Locals encouraged to give a toss

Eurobodalla residents are encouraged to give a toss for litter during April as part of the NSW EPA’s Hey Tosser! campaign.

Eurobodalla Council is supporting the campaign, which is using television, print, radio and digital advertising, to educate the public about the impacts of litter on our environment and inspire people to put their rubbish in a bin or take it with them.

“We know Eurobodalla residents want a clean and safe environment, so we’re calling on locals over the busy Easter break to report littering from vehicles either to Council or the EPA’s ‘Report to EPA’ website,” says Council’s Sustainability Coordinator Mark Shorter.

“Having local residents report ‘tossers’ sends a strong message that littering is not tolerated in Eurobodalla.

“As always, Council’s rangers will be on the lookout for littering and offenders can face fines,” he said.

To report a tosser, call Council on 4474 1000 or visit www.esc.nsw.gov.au or www.epa.nsw.gov.au/reporttoepa/ Media Release
