Following recent good rainfall the Tuross Head Country Club course is in excellent condition heading into the winter season and this added to the enjoyment of the Saturday competition round.
Winner of the Saturdays Scoty stableford competition was Mike Allen who returned a very high score of 45 stableford points.
Colin Houghton filled second placing with 39 points ahead of Leigh Coloe, Peter Nikolic and Steve Johnston who all handed in cards of 37 points.
Members are reminded the Men's Club Championships are not far away and will commence on Saturday May 6th with the final rounds on Saturday and Sunday May 13th and 14th.
Bals were awarded to players down to 31.
Nearest the pin winners were:
A grade: Ken Brown on the 4th hole with 4.70 m.
Mark Haberkorn was closest on the 6th with 2.38 m and
Ray Bollard wad best on the 7th with 4.69 m.
B grade golfer Greg Booth won the 4th with 2.26 m.
Bruce Cleeve was closest on the 6th with 1.94 m and
Bruce Martin took out the 7th with a close 0.95 m.
C grade was won by Colin Fletcher on the 4th with 4.61 m.
Bruce Braun's 8.45 m on the 6th was the best for the day and
Mike Allen finished off a good day with 7.05 m on the 7th hole.
The coming Saturday round is a single par competition.
