In the face of threatening weather a good field of 59 players teed off in this morning's 4BBB Stableford event. Fortunately the weather cleared for a great morning's golf. Results on the day were as follows:
1st: The pairing of Des Jackson and Graham Moore with a very fine score of 25 Stableford points. 2nd: Husband and wife Ian and Chris Wratten on 24 points after a count back was required. 3rd: New player Gus Alameddine partnering Allen Gannon also on 24 points.
Ball or Chocolate Patrick Sager and Wal Williams with 23, Don Russell and Leonie Snodgrass on 22, Colin Fletcher and Peter McRae, Paul Pereira and Frank Pomfret, Solveig Olsson and Noel Downie, and finally Ray Downey and Steve Johnston, all teams scoring 21 points.
The Bradman's award this week was won by the husband and wife pairing of Terry and Ann Challender.
Nearest the Pins: 4th: Steve Johnston. 6th: Ken Brown. Ladies 7th: Teri Swanbury. Men's 7th: Peter McRae.
The Accuracy drive was won by the Vets President Ian Manton with a fine long drive close to the centre line.
