ALLIANCE FRANÇAISE D’EUROBODALLA ON A RECRUITING DRIVE! The Alliance Française d’Eurobodalla had a big changeover recently at its Annual General Meeting. Members said goodbye to outgoing President Georges Nadal, Vice President Patrick de Fontenay and Treasurer Maggie Nadal with grateful thanks for their service and years of support. The new President and committee are looking forward to carrying on the good work of their predecessors and to introducing some new projects and ideas. Watch this space!
Above: New committee members from left to right: Lynette Bennetts (Resource Officer), Patricia Ludovici (Vice-President), Carmel Mackin (President), Heather Galer (Secretary), Helena Bettini (Treasurer). The Alliance Française is a not-for- profit organisation formed to promote French language and culture. Local members meet monthly. The agenda is to have fun, discuss all things French, perhaps borrow a book or DVD, eat some good food and to practise French, (mistakes and all!) with one another. The group has all levels of enthusiastic Francophiles, from complete beginners to native speakers. New members of any level will be warmly welcomed. So, if you have ever wished to have a go at learning French, or practicing your French, no matter what the level, please come along and join us. The next meeting will be held on Saturday April 22 at 12 noon. If you would like to come along, please contact: Carmel Mackin: 4473 6401 or carmelmackin@dodo.com.au
