Despite an early cool breeze the sun came out and shone brightly throughout the morning for today's Par event with 56 players teeing off at 8.30am. Results on the day were as follows: 1st: Paul Green with a magnificent +4. 2nd: Vets Captain Ian Miller on +2 after a count back was required. 3rd: Richard Kelly also on +2. Ball or Chocolate: Sandra Hanlon, Lyn Benger, Wal Williams, Mike Birks, Gus Alameddine, Errol Soden and Ann Ware all on +1, followed by Denis Benger, Robin Green, John Cox and Bruce Martin on square after a 9 way count back was required to determine the final placings. The Bradman's award this week went to Greg Ware on a five way count back. Nearest the Pins: 4th: Lance Shadbolt. 6th: Terry Challender. Ladies 7th: Chris Wratten. Men's 7th: Neal Watson from John Cox on the toss of a coin after both players recorded equidistant shots from the hole. The Accuracy award went to Ann Ware. Next week's event is a Single Stableford game and round 2 of the Elaine Jennings trophy for lady players. Registration is from 7.45am in the downstairs sports bar area with a shotgun start at 8.30am.
