As an update to our post 15 January, we are pleased to advise that NSW Roads and Maritime Services Project planners have now included the addition of a 2.5 metre wide shared path between the proposed entry to Wharf Road (Maisies Lane) and Reid Street, Nelligen on the southern side of the Kings Highway. This will provide a significant improvement in access and pedestrian road safety for guests of Big4 Holiday Park / Steampacket Hotel as well as other residents and visitors to the area. Other related improvements sought by NPA were considered to be outside the project scope at present time. However, aside from this, we note the NSW Government has also allocated additional funding of $30,000 to begin investigations for a Highway crossing between the Holiday Park and Hotel.
