No matter what adverse conditions are thrown up to the Broulee runners they can handle rain, ankle deep water and mud without flinching.
Above: The Intrepid: Shevaun Ey, Gay Ashton, Adrian Connor, Susan Pettit, Andrew McPherson,Morgan Pettit, Greg Flood , Dylan Van Der Meulan and Daniel Beby.
Two women and 10 men turned up to perform in these difficult conditions.
Several of tonight’s runners participated in the Batemans Bay triathlon last weekend.
Most notable was Daniel Beby, who achieved a top ten position in the long course, he was very pleased with this as it was done on a limited preparation.
Gary Ashton was ranked second in his age group in the Olympic distance. Adrian Connor was highly placed in the very competitive sprint event.
We welcomed Shevaun Ey to her first run with the group. She comes from a strong running family in Canberra.
Her mother and father have been involved with organising and participating in distance running for many decades. Her father has more than 100 marathons to his credit.
