Batemans Bay BMX excel at Qld Sleeman SX Track


Another amazing day at Sleeman SX Track! Fantastic atmosphere, fantastic event! The Batemans Bay BMX team had four of their Bay riders up in Queensland over the past week and a half for the Australian Nationals. They had training all week for the first lot of races of Cruiser and today saw Leah Hearne coming first in her class with Lachy in the 7 Boys Sprockets achieving a 4th, 3rd, 4th and 4th. Special congrats to Leah Hearne who smashed out 4 firsts in 17-24 Women's Cruiser taking home the 1A plate! Woo hoo! Incredible racing today Leah! 👊🏻🇦🇺🏆 Well done to Lachy - 7 Boys Sprockets - 4th, 3rd, 4th and 4th. Nice work!

Well done to Shano - 8-10 Boys Cruiser - 5th, 4th and 7th, a great effort with some tough competition! Jade and Shano are up tomorrow for challenge class!

Above: Shano, Leah and Stacker Another huge congrats to Miss Leah Hearne! After 5 Rounds of the 2017 BMXA Grands Challenge Series - which involved travelling to and racing at Nerang, Shepparton, Bathurst, Cairns and Brisbane - Leah has taken 2nd spot on the podium for the Series for 16 Girls! An amazing accomplishment ! And such an inspiration for our Batemans Bay kids!
