Man dies at Turlinjah accident


A man has died after a crash on the state’s Far South Coast yesterday.

Just before 4pm (Thursday 27 April 2017), emergency services were called to the Princes Highway, Turlinjah, 50km south of Batemans Bay, following reports of a crash.

Officers from Far South Coast Local Area Command attended and found a Holden Commodore and a Mitsubishi Pajero had crashed at the location.

Emergency services attended; however the driver of the Holden, a 56-year-old man, died at the scene.

The driver of the Mitsubishi, a 32-year-old woman, was taken to Moruya Hospital where she is being treated for minor injuries and undergoing mandatory testing.

Both drivers were single occupants in the cars.

A brief will be prepared for the Coroner. Media Release
