Tuross Netball News

It takes a lot of time, effort and money to support our young ones in sports. Tuross Head has long had a proud tradition of presenting netball teams of all ages. For many years they wrote the local village newsletter as a fundraiser and then subsequently hosted the Australia Day One Tree Point BBQ until it was taken over by the Tuross Marine Rescue Squad. This year the new committee have hosted Kids Karaoke and a Grand Auction to raise the necessary funds for their uniforms and insurances. There are more events on the horizon to cover the ongoing costs of providing netball as a sport to our young ones. In coming weeks the Netball Team will be issuing certificates of thanks to all the local businesses that have supported them this year starting with the Tuross Head Country Club who have become their primary sponsor as well as the generous and supportive Moruya Rotary and Moruya Saturday Markets. There are too many others to list here, big and small, along with the many community members who step up and buy raffle tickets and sausage sandwiches. If you see our local Tuross Head netball girls out and about promoting the club please stop and buy a ticket or make a donation as every dollar helps. Feel free to drop a donation off at the Tuross Head Country Club.
