While Sally Jeffrey was the sole Eurocoast Triathon Club member to compete at the Diamond Womens Active Triathlon Festival held at Penrith last weekend she made the trip worthwhile and continued to dominate her age group in the Sprint race, with a winning margin of more than 20 minutes from her nearest rival.
Sally completed the 750m swim in 15:17, the 20km bike leg in 39:51, and the 5km run in 21:38, finishing with a total race time of 1:16:48.
Sally had the fastest time in each of the three disciplines, stretching a narrow 1 minute lead at the end of the swim leg to a total margin of 21:37 over the second placed competitor, Lesley Maher.
