Residents in Narooma can now access more than 970 different services and transactions under the one roof at the new Service NSW Centre at 183 Princes Highway, Narooma.
Minister for Finance, Services and Property Victor Dominello today officially opened the new centre and meet with staff who will be operating the new look centre.
“Service NSW has revolutionised the way that people interact with government, making it easier to complete transactions and access services,” Mr Dominello said.
“Gone are the days of visiting multiple agencies to complete different transactions. Now you can apply for everything from a birth certificate, drivers licence, and even a beekeepers licence during the one visit.”
Member for Bega Andrew Constance, said the addition of the new Narooma Service Centre would complement existing one-stop shops at Batemans Bay, Bega, and the soon to open centre at Eden.
“When customers enter a Service Centre they are met by a friendly, knowledgeable and expert team member who can assist them,” Mr Constance said.
“Service NSW is about providing choice for customers, when going into the Narooma Centre customers have the option of completing transactions over the counter or using a self-service digital kiosk.
“Service Centre Manager Scott Laing and his team are passionate about delivering excellence in customer service, and they are very excited to be servicing the town and becoming part of the local community.”
Mr Dominello said that in addition to the popular one-stop shops customers could also complete a growing number of transactions online 24 hours, seven days per week.
“An increasing number of customers are now comfortable with transacting online, with more than 80 percent of registration renewals completed digitally,” he said.
“The real benefit that online services offer is that they allow customers to transact at a time and place that suits them best.”
The Narooma Service Centre, located at, Shop 32 183 Princes Highway, is open from 9.00am to 4.00pmWednesday and Thursdays only.
