This month’s concert will blow the winter blues away as we bring out the district’s big guns of jazz musicianship and introduce a new pop group!
PAUL MARSHALL and friends – THE KUFFNER TRIO - Paul our musical maestro showcases his multi-instrumental talents and is joined by Barny Barnbrook and Stafford Ray. Paul has formal training in voice, piccolo, flute, saxophone and guitar with the Australian Army Band and the Sydney Conservatorium. He has performed at major ceremonies and supported many international artists during their Australian tours.
SARABANDE – Play contemporary and original jazz, bossa, pop and swing. Sarah Leaver’s smooth vocal style is accompanied by Paul Baker’s distinctive guitar& Stafford Ray’s feisty bass. Between Paul and Stafford, there is more than 50 years of professional session, recording, television and show business!
THE THUGS – Eurobodalla’s hard-edged exponents of uke pop. With a set list of songs spanning decades from the 60s onwards, The Thugs sound is driving, with a lot of chorusing, harmony & assorted vocal interventions. They are a six piece group who do “slow songs” but prefer to play up-tempo because of the energy it creates.
