Eurobodalla Footy show weekend roundup


The weekend results for 3-5 June 2017 bought to you by: The Eurobodalla Footy Show Thursday Night 6.00pm to 8.00pm 2 EAR FM 107.5

Group 16 Rugby League

The fierce local rivalry between Moruya and Narooma again produced an amazing game of rugby league. Narooma were outstanding in the first half, scoring five tries to one through strong running and robust defence against a lack lustre Moruya to run up a 28-4 lead at half time. However, Moruya re-grouped and scored five second half tries and kept the home side scoreless to snatch the game 30-28.

In other first grade games, Cooma remains unbeaten after thrashing Eden 52-20 at George Brown Oval, Eden.

In Reserve Grade, Candelo Bemboka maintained top spot with a solid 22-6 win over Moruya Merimbula were too strong for Batemans Bay winning 22-10,

Bega defeated Bombala 32-4

Cooma beat Bermagui-Cobargo 30

In Ladies League Tag, Bombala were too strong for Bega 16-6

Moruya Sharkettes remain undefeated after two weekend games, defeating Candelo Pink Panthers 28-6 on Saturday, and backing up to defeat Narooma 34-0 on Sunday.

Merimbula trounced Batemans Bay 56-6 Cooma too strong for Eden 30-0

Under 18s Top placed Merimbula /Pambula were made to work beating a plucky Batemans Bay 26-20 Cooma edged out Eden/Bermagui 32-24 Narooma were too strong for Moruya 50-4

SCAFL

Narooma defeated Tathra for the second time away this year with a tough 17.7.109 to 14.17 101 win. They are equal top with Pambula but second on percentages, who were awarded a forfeit from Eden. In the remaining match, Bermagui surprised everyone with their easy disposal of Merimbula Diggers 17.6.108 to 4.8.32.

Development League

Tathra 13.10.88 defeated Narooma 10.6.66,

Pambula 16.9.105 too strong for Broulee/Moruya 3.3.21

SCAFL Womens League

Eden 22.17.149 way too strong for Bega 0.0.00

Tathra 4.4.28 had a hard-fought win over Narooma 2.4.16

Pambula 14.8.92 too classy for Broulee/Moruya 2.4.16 In the AFL Canberra Division 3 league, the Batemans Bay Seahawks lead all night to grab a much-needed win over Ainslie, scoring 11.15.81 to 8.60.54. Earlier the Division 4 boys fought hard but were edged out 12.12.84 to 10.11.71 by Ainslie.

In Rugby Union, Batemans Bay Boars had the bye.

Eurobodalla Soccer

Bodalla continued its undefeated run with a 10-1 trouncing of Moruya Blues

Clyde United won the Battle of the Bridge beating cross river rivals Batemans Bay 2-0. Broulee Dolphins Under 14s Making Their Mark in the Top Division


The Broulee Dolphins Under 14s travelled to Goulburn to take on Trinity College in this week’s Division One clash.
