On Wednesday evening 7th June, Lindsay Usher, Head of Planning for the ESC, is addressing the arts’ community upstairs at Starfish Deli at 5.30pm in relation to what’s happening with the Arts and Cultural Facility within the Re-Development of the Mackay Park Precinct. This was an offer made by Council staff a couple of weeks ago, as they had previously addressed the Aquatic Centre Group and thought it only right that they treat the arts’ people with the same deference.
It will be a fantastic opportunity for arts and cultural community all to be brought up to date with Council’s plans; for questions to be asked and most importantly as far as both PerfEx and the Sunset Committee is concerned, for building closer and more open lines of communication between the community and the Council. PerfEx is hosting the evening and supplying drinks and nibbles. An informal setting where people feel comfortable to speak in a friendly, informative, non-confrontational manner, is what we are hoping to achieve.
