Two additional lifts of BBay Bridge will be carried out during the day on Wednesday June 14

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions on the Princes Highway at Batemans Bay bridge next week for an external audit to be carried out on the opening system. The system was recently upgraded and a third party audit is required to identify any potential future issues to the electrical and mechanical systems. Two additional lifts will be carried out during the day on Wednesday June 14, and they will be no longer than the usual lift times for marine traffic. Motorists are advised to plan their journey and allow extra travel time. The audit must be completed in daylight hours so workers can adequately carry out a visual inspection of the bridge. A barge will also be in place below the bridge, but is not expected to impact marine traffic. Roads and Maritime Services thanks motorists for their patience while work is carried out.
