Eurobodalla Council will begin work to upgrade to the Durras Lake boat ramp on Tuesday 13 June. The existing ramp will be replaced with a similar-sized concrete ramp to improve safety and access for all users. The project will involve the installation of 15 metres of new kerbing to direct stormwater and reduce drainage issues and erosion, as well as minor car park works. A number of coral trees in the vicinity of the boat ramp that have been assessed as hazardous will also be removed. Durras Lake boat ramp will be closed during the works, which are expected to take about six weeks, weather permitting. A proposed car park upgrade, designed as part of the overall facility, has not yet been scheduled for construction.
