Twenty eight ladies gathered last week for a lovely morning at the Narooma Presbyterian Church hall to hear a talk by Mrs Joan O’Halloran on her 24 years making blankets for Wraps with Love. It was a very cold and wet day but still everybody arrived with a smile and cake. Joan gave a very informative and amusing talk on the making of her many blankets and her adventures for finding yarn. On one trip north, wool was a little scarce and Joan told of the lovely jumper her husband had and how she asked him would it rather be a vest. When he answered ‘yes’, it didn’t take her long to whip those sleeves out of the jumper and start unravelling. She had everybody in stitches (no pun intended). Anyone who would like to make blankets for Wraps with Love or squares for blankets can get in touch with Wraps with Love at http://www.wrapwithlove.org/ or on their Facebook page.
This was a great morning of fun, fellowship and food. Highly recommended.
