At 5.48pm last night (28/7) Fire and Rescue Station 384 Moruya were called to an motor vehicle accident and the report of persons trapped just south of the Moruya TAFE Campus.
On arrival crews found 2 vehicles that had collided heavily and had been severely damaged.
Crews set up a hoseline for fire protection for both vehicles. The occupants where extricated from the utility and transported to hospital. The passenger of the SUV was trapped by confinment for a extended time whilst NSW Ambulance stabilized the patient and crews from FRNSW 384 and SES cut the car open to give better access for release and removal of the patient.
Once the patient was removed and transported, crews stayed on scene to clean up the highway and render the area safe.
