Congratulations Kate Webber of Bay ActivePT in Batehaven for raising more than $2500 on Saturday for the Beyond Blue Foundation. The morning began with Beyond Blue speaker Leah Milston followed by a presentation on What is Depression and Anxiety by Batemans Bay Psychologist Tara Skipper. Adding to the seriousness of the Beyond Blue fundraiser was the presentation by ex-military, ex-police Dean Hamilton Suicide, the ripple effect and prevention. The day also heard of the affects and benefits of exercise on mental health presented by event organiser Kate Webber while Clare Burke from The Nest, Moruya presenting on Antenatal & Postnatal Depression. The fundraising highlight of the day was the auction hosted by Adam Porteous Principle of Raine & Horne Batemans Bay and Sarah Ralston.
Kate told the Beagle this morning that she wanted to thank all of the supporters, sponsors family and friends who rallied around to make the day the sucess it was.
