Eurobodalla Health Service Community Consultation Committee invites the community along to an information session on preventing and managing diabetes. The session is planned for Wednesday 2 August from 2:30 to 3:30 at the CWA Hall, 64 Queen Street Moruya.
There will be information on what diabetes is and how to reduce your chance of becoming a diabetic. There will also be an explanation of the difference between Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, how to manage the disease through diet and exercise and tips for healthy shopping. The guest speaker for the session will be Julie Griffith, Diabetes Educator from Eurobodalla Community Health. The session is free, so if you are a sufferer or have a friend or relative who has this debilitating disease, come along and learn more about diabetes.
