Sending in the big guns to lift the toppled crane in Narooma

Over the weekend two 200 tonne cranes arrived from Sydney to retrieve a toppled 65 tonne crane that managed to capsize while undertaking contract tree work in Clarke Street, Narooma. No one was hurt in the topple however the house below the street sustained damage. Eyewitness advise that the crane was lifting large sections of tree trunk from the gully below at the time of the accident.

These photos taken by Robert Reid showing the bigger cranes on the scene. It is understood that Workcover will be investigating.
