Tourism is one of Eurobodalla's largest industries, but young travellers make up only 11% of overnight travel, compared to 38% of people aged over 55. The Eurobodalla Youth Committee believes that directly targeting tourism marketing towards young people will improve those numbers and bring a range of new visitors to the area. Committee members hope to encourage young people to visit Eurobodalla, host tours, and use social media to showcase some of our hidden gems - including accommodation, destinations, events and activities - aiming to appeal specifically to the youth market.

In February 2017 three of the Back 2 Bush team went to "Heywire" to be part of their new program "Trailblazers". The program went for an entire week, with lots to learn and lots to give. Three team members came back with a better insight on how to market our project as well as more skills and techniques on how to further it.
They all had such a great time and felt that they were more prepared for the future and on going processes on making their project known but more importantly bringing youth back to our area.
Check out the video that the guys at Heywire constructed for them.
Back 2 Bush is an initiative to attract young people to the Eurobodalla by showcasing our hidden gems and all that Eurobodalla can offer.
Back 2 Bush aims to do this by inviting other youth groups to come and join us for 3 days of exciting fun activities in a bundled tourist package which will incorporate some of the best what we have to offer.
➡️Art + Culture - exploring our rich Aboriginal culture and historical landscapes.
➡️Back to nature- exploring untouched walking 🚶 tracks or dive in secret dive spots
➡️Adventure + fun - exploring what fun is around Eurobodalla like flying up in a plane ✈️ 14,000 feet up and sky diving on the beach 🌊 or swimming with the seals
➡️Local food 🥘 + farming - exploring the foods and produce of the Eurobodalla, the small factories and farms.
This is a youth driven project for youth and by youth and we are super stoked to be taking this project to a new level. We are grateful for the support we have been given by our local council and members of the community and the sponsors of the Heywire project.
The Back2Bush package will include accommodation, surf lessons, laser tag, kayaking, an all ages music event, most meals and travel assistance to assist with the cost of small bus hire to get you here.
Dates: 10th November -12th November
Cost: $150 per participant
Group size: 10 - 12 people
