Tuross Head Country Club veteran golfers brave wintry conditions


On what was one of the coldest windy mornings this winter a smaller than usual field of 49 players teed off for this morning's Stableford event. Results on the day were as follows:

1st: Wal Williams with a fine score of 22 points.

2nd: Ann Ware on 21.

3rd: Sandra Hanlon on 19 points after a five way count back.

Ball or Chocolate:

Neal Watson, Noel Fletcher, Terry Challender and Len Rogers on 19, Lyn Benger, Greg Thornton, Kay McLeod and Jeanette Miller on 18, followed by Ron Hanlon and Ken Brown on 17 points.

Bradmans Award:

Richard Kelly took out today's Bradman's award on count back from Teri Swanbury.

Nearest the Pins:

4th: Greg Ware, in the hole.

6th: Steve Johnston.

Ladies 7th: Kay McLeod.

Men's 7th: Allen Gannon.

Accuracy:

Topping off a successful morning Kay McLeod also won the Accuracy award on the 5th hole.

Next Week:

Next week will see a change from the published program with the Aggregate Stableford - Secret Partners game scheduled for 26 July brought forward a week, and swapped with the 2 Person Ambrose event originally scheduled for next week. Registration is from 7.45am in the downstairs sports bar area with a shotgun start at 8.30am.
