Eurobodalla Councillors today unanimously endorsed the development of a regional aquatic centre, arts and cultural facility in Batemans Bay.
During Public Forum there were speakers asking Council to consider a 50m pool rather than a 25m and other speakers wishing to ensure that Councillors were well aware of the financial burdens of such a complex covering running costs, depreciation and loan burdens. One speaker also raised the issue of a need for whole of CBD planning in light of a new Batemans Bay bridge being proposed.
The project consultants were then asked a series of questions by councillors prior to their vote to pursue grant funding to build the facility.
