Wednesday 20 September 2017 | 5.30-7.00pm

Renowned Aboriginal Australian soprano, composer and educator Deborah Cheetham AO presents the next installment of the Radical Voice Talk Series on ‘The Art of Belonging’.
“For Indigenous Australians, the Arts are the most powerful way we can know and give meaning to the world around us. For thousands of generations we have passed on all knowledge of geography, the sciences, medicine and humanity through visual and performing arts. The Arts have never been a luxury, rather a necessity. Our culture is our knowledge. Our knowledge is our survival. It is The Art of Belonging and it is for everyone.” says Deborah Cheetham AO.
As part of Deborah’s visit to the region, 30 students from Eden, Narooma and Bermagui primary schools will take part in a three-day Short Black Opera workshop at Four Winds led by Deborah Cheetham and pianist, Toni Lalich.
