Tuross Head Golf Veterans Coloured Ball Competition


Despite a cool start for what ultimately turned out to be a great morning for golf, a good field of 58 players registered for this morning's Coloured Ball Team Stableford event.

Results on the day were as follows:

1st: the team of Teri and Steve Swanbury combining with Kathy and Stephen Crossling on 49 points.

2nd: Peg Nevett, Rene Robertson, Derek Hoare and Frank Pomfret with 47 points.

3rd: Andrew Gordon and Len Rogers combining with Gayle and Ross Macalpine on 44 points.

Ball or Chocolate:

Graham and Anna Heuston together with Graham Pratt and Tony Crook with 40 points on count back.

Bradman Award:

The fine team of seniors Les Johanson, Tim Starr, Noel Fletcher and Ross Hendy took out the award this week.

Nearest the Pins:

4th: Kay McLeod.

6th: Ross Macalpine.

Ladies 7th: Teri Swanbury.

Men's 7th: Ken Brown.

Accuracy:

Vets President Ian Manton took out this week's award with a fine, long drive adjacent to the centre string line.

Next Week:

Next week's game is a Canadian Foursomes event with registration in the downstairs sports bar area from 7.45am and a shotgun start at 8.30am.
