Errol Soden and Neil Watson win THCC Canadian Foursome event


A field of 46 players teed off last Wednesday for the only round of Canadian Foursomes to be played in our golfing calendar year by the THCC veteran golf sub club.

Results on the day were as follows:

1st: The pairing of Neal Watson and Errol Soden with a nett score of 34.37.

2nd: Newcomer Dorothy Madden partnered by Bruce Martin on 37.12.

3rd: Ross Hendy and veteran Noel Fletcher with a nett 37.87.

Ball or Chocolate:

Paul Pereira and Kevin Dukes on 38.0, Annette and Ian Manton on 38.125, Ken Brown and Chris Wratten on 38.125, Tony Crook and Graham Pratt on 38.87, Richard Kelly and Greg Thornton on 39, a score equalled by the final winners Ann and Bruce Ware.

Bradman Award:

Winners were Anna Heuston and Solveig Olsson.

Nearest the Pins:

4th: Dorothy Madden.

6th: Len Rogers.

Ladies 7th: Annette Manton.

Men's 7th: Len Rogers.

Accuracy:

Chris Wratten took home the bacon and eggs for her win this week.

Next Week:

Next week's game is a Stroke and Putts event, also being the second and final round of the Tuross Vets Golf championships.

Registration is in the downstairs sports bar area from 7.45am with a shotgun start at 8.30am.

Visitors do not need a Golflink handicap to play.
