"I used to play in the attic (see photo) with the Mr & Mrs Don Bell's eldest daughter Sylvia. The Bell's ran the store/post office for many years School lunches for the Turlinjah Primary School came from here for a short while. Mostly hot chips!"
"The photo of the buses (below) outside my parents home in 26 Jutland Avenue, Tuross Heads were taken in 1953. The bus at the side of the house was no longer road worthy and I remember Mum keeping copious quantities of old Women's Weekly in there. My father Syd McDowell did most of his own mechanical work on the buses and milk truck (he used to do both), including siphoning petrol from 40 gallon drums."
