JAZZ AT MORUYA

Presented by Moruya Golf Club and Eurobodalla Live Music inc.

September 29,30 – October 1 2017

This fabulous and exhilarating weekend of performance, offers music lovers an opportunity to meet at a single venue and to hear some of the finest music by some of the best musicians in our region.

  • The Awesome and Sarabande Friday and Saturday evenings at 5.30pm

  • Sacred Cow Acoustic in Cabaret Friday 8pm

  • Festival of Voice Saturday 1pm

  • Tuna Free Dolphins in Cabaret Saturday 8pm

  • Gospel Service Sunday 10.30am

  • Trad Jazzand The Awesome Sunday 1.00pm

Our admission prices range between free and reasonable – in line with our aim to introduce our accomplished local and guest musicians to as many of our audience who would like to attend.

Festival of Voice $20

Early evenings from 5.30 – 7.30pm Friday and Saturday free

$15 adult,$12 concession,$10 ELM members, Schoolchildren FREE

Friday and Saturday evening with The Awesome and Sarabande

From 5.30pm to 7.30pm your free entry to a pre-cabaret soiree. Your inner being will be uplifted on Friday by the smooth and sublime “The Awesome” and on Saturday the creative and easy listening “Sarabande”

Friday Cabaret – Sacred Cow Acoustic

From 8.00pm - earthy, enthusiastic and stimulating entertainment with “sacred cow acoustic” and its genre-hopping repertoire and intelligent lyrics. Sacred cow are as comfortable playing a sweet love song as they are ripping it up with an anti-establishment anthem

Saturday – Festival of Voice – 8 acts of glorious singing

From 1.00pm – 5.30pm – The Festival of Voice showcases the wonderful diversity of the human voice. The audience will enjoy a marvellous variety of musical styles being performed be local and interstate artists. The program will include Barbershop, world music, folk ,modern classics, musical theatre and original music.

Saturday – The Lineup in Cabaret

From 8.00pm - Music that’s lively, exhilarating and dynamic in sound and motion. Accompanying the Lineup will be vocalists Paige Davies and Lesley Lambert – very danceable!!!

Sunday – Gospel Service – worshipful fun at the annual Gospel service

From10.30am to 12pm – guided by gospel preacher Kay Killick, our service is about music and fun, served up with a slight slurp of worship. This year we have soloists Paul, Jeff and Steve, two huge choirs and a dozen Moruya Town Band members to strut their stuff.

Trad Sunday

From 1.00pm – features Swings the Thing, The Awesome and friends and The Tuna Free Dolphins – the most exciting way to wind up a great weekend of music with a big shopping basket full of delicious, perfectly formed pieces of Jazz, Ragtime and Blues – the best nourishment.
