Long Beach/Maloneys Beach Residents upcoming events


Open to all Long Beach/Maloneys Beach Residents. Saturday 30th September @ 11am The Long Beach Community Association is having is holding its first Community Services Information Session between 11am and 12pm on Saturday September 30 at the Long Beach Fire Shed before its general meeting. The Information Session is intended to provide information to residents of Long Beach and surrounding areas on community, disability and social services. Representatives from NSW Community Health, Mobility matters and Eurobodalla Council will provide information on products to make life easier in the home, assistance schemes. exercise and physical activity, and other services for older residents. There will be a sausage sizzle and information stalls on what is accessible to the more senior and less able to make their day to day life easier. There will be stalls from ESC, NSW Community Health, Mobility Matters and many more... Information will be provided on: - Community transport services and assistance schemes for rural patients - Community services, disability services, social services - Physical activity options such as exercise, walking, dancing, tai chi, pilates and yoga - Products to make life easier in the home and whilst out and about - Starting a conversation about wills, power of attorney, guardianship, organ donation and what’s next in my life - Volunteering services The session is open to all Long Beach and Maloney’s Beach residents so pass the word to that neighbour or friend who perhaps would benefit from some of this information to enhance their daily life. It is a great opportunity to help those who may be limited in their access to transport or who have difficulty contacting Council or NSW Health service providers. NOTE: Bush Fire Plan will be discussed at the MBRA Ordinary General Meeting on 15th of October starting at 2:00pm @ the Maloneys Beach Cafe.
