Starr and Johanson win THCC veteran's 2 person stableford multiplier event


On what was a bright and sunny morning a good field of 60 players registered for today's 2 Person Stableford Multiplier. This is a game to test partner relationships where one player failing to score on any hole results in a nil score for the team on that hole.

Results for the day were as follows:

1st: The pairing of Tim Starr and Les Johanson with a fine score of 49 points.

2nd: David Williams and Allen Lee falling just short on 48.

3rd: Noel Fletcher and Ross Hendy with 45.

Ball or Chocolate:

Lyn and Dennis Benger, and Teri and Steve Swanbury on 42, Lachlan and his father Michael Nordsvan (visitors from Canberra), Margaret and Ray Downey, and Greg Ware and Kevin Dukes, all on 41 points, and finally another husband and wife team Paul and Robin Green on 34.

Bradman Award:

This week's winners were Herb Muriwai partnered by Rick Brake.

Nearest the Pins:

4th: 11 year old Lachlan Nordsvan.

6th: Gus Alameddine.

Ladies 7th: Sandra Hanlon.

Men's 7th: Wal Williams, in the hole for a birdie.

Accuracy:

The Accuracy award was won this week by long time Tuross veteran golfer Kevin Dukes.

Next Week:

The game next week will be a Par event with registration in the downstairs sports bar area from 7.45am and a shotgun start at 8.30am.

Players are reminded that the following week will be a 2 Person Ambrose event followed by a gala day lunch.
