Emergency vehicles and school buses will still have full access during this time.
The west-bound lane from George Bass Drive to the Princes Hwy will remain open, but minor delays could occur and traffic control will be in place.
During the closure, the nearest access from the highway to George Bass Drive is available from Tomakin Road at Mogo.
Vehicle message boards are in place on the highway and on George Bass Drive to advise motorists of the temporary traffic changes.
Motorists are asked to slow down and take notice of traffic control around the work site.
