Schools and not-for-profit groups can apply for funding from Eurobodalla Council to reward students for their achievements.
Council’s annual 2017 Schools and Education Grants offer funds for educational institutions and charitable organisations to sponsor awards, scholarships and opportunities, such as attending external education courses or events.
Council previously allocated the grants on an ad-hoc basis. The new annual application process ensures fund allocation is fairer and consistent.
Council has written to Eurobodalla schools and previous grant recipients to inform them of the change and encourage them to apply in the new funding round.
The grants are one of a range of funding programs provided by Council that recognise the value and importance of local organisations in building vibrant, inclusive and healthy communities.
Applications centred on academic, arts and cultural, musical and sporting excellence will be considered.
The 2017 Schools and Education Grants close on Wednesday 1 November at 2pm.
To apply, visit esc.smartygrants.com.au or for more information phone Council’s Executive Services on 02 4474 1005.
