Leah Hearne to carry the Comm Games Queens Baton through Batemans Bay


Batemans Bay BMX rider Miss Leah Hearne has done it again!


Leah will be carrying the Queens Baton in Batemans Bay during its 100 day journey to the Gold Coast 2018 Olympic Games! This is an amazing honour! Be sure to congratulate Leah when you see her next! This year, on the back of a fantastic opportunity to represent Australia in the USA Leah received the BMX NSW Outstanding Achievement Award for 17-24 Womens Cruiser. Leah also took out 1st place in the 2017 State Series for 15-16 Girls Cruiser and 1st place for 16 Girls 20” and has again been selected for the 2018 BMX NSW High Performance Team. The Queen’s Baton has been specially designed to capture the boundless energy of the Gold Coast and is an inspiring symbol that will connect the Commonwealth with Australia, Queensland and the Gold Coast. The last New South Wales stop of the Queen’s Baton Relay will be in Batemans Bay 6th Feb 2018 as it arrives from Nowra to then fly on from Moruya to Launceston, Tasmania Joining Leah in the relay will be:
